LAPAROSCOPY

Laparoscopy is a procedure that uses a thin, lighted tube which is inserted through the belly to look at the pelvic organs. Laparoscopy is used to find problems such as adhesions, cysts, fibroids and infection. Tissue samples can be taken for biopsy through the laparoscope. This procedure is considered minimally invasive and can often be done without needing an overnight hospital stay.
